Output up to 4K
Seedance 2.0 renders at 480p, 720p, 1080p, 4K. 4K output is 3840 × 2160, sharp enough for large screens and for cropping in the edit — a 5-second 4K clip costs 1,040 credits, so iterate at 480p or 720p first.
ByteDance · Seedance 2.0 and Seedance 2.0 Fast
Create videos with sound at up to 4K from a prompt, a photo or your own references. Draft cheaply on Seedance 2.0 Fast, then render the final cut on Seedance 2.0 — right in your browser.
Seedance 2.0 is ByteDance's multimodal video model, released by the Seed team on February 12, 2026. Outside China it is also known as Dreamina Seedance 2.0, the name used in CapCut. It generates video and sound together, at resolutions up to 4K.
Seedance 2.0 Fast is its quicker, lower-cost version, capped at 720p. Both take text, a start image, or image, video and audio references, and both are in the generator above. Its successor, Seedance 2.5, adds longer clips. Visiojoy is an independent platform, not affiliated with ByteDance.
Four things it does well.
Seedance 2.0 renders at 480p, 720p, 1080p, 4K. 4K output is 3840 × 2160, sharp enough for large screens and for cropping in the edit — a 5-second 4K clip costs 1,040 credits, so iterate at 480p or 720p first.
Dialogue, effects, ambience and music are created in the same pass as the video. Audio is on by default and can be switched off when you plan to add your own track.
Combine up to 9 images, 3 videos and 3 audio clips to fix a character, copy a camera move or match a voice. With reference videos, a lower per-second rate applies to the reference length plus the output.
Animate a photo from its first frame, and add an end frame in the AI Video workspace for a controlled finish. Choose from 6 aspect ratios including 21:9, or Auto.
Same model family, two price points. Fast generates quicker and costs about 39% less per second, but stops at 720p. Length, audio and references work the same on both.
A practical rule: test ideas and social clips on Fast, then rerun the keeper on Seedance 2.0 when you need 1080p or 4K. Pick either one from the model menu, or open the workspace with Seedance 2.0 Fast selected.

Three ways to start a clip, on both Seedance 2.0 and 2.0 Fast. The generator above switches mode based on what you upload; end frames and the full settings panel are in the AI Video workspace.
You upload
Nothing — just a prompt
Describe the scene, motion and sound. Auto framing or 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9, 9:16, 21:9.
You upload
1 start image, optional end image
The clip opens on your photo. A short prompt is required — say what moves. Add the end frame in the AI Video workspace.
You upload
Up to 9 images, 3 videos, 3 audio clips
Mix looks, motion and sound. Reference video and audio can each total 15 seconds. Can't be combined with a first frame.

Both are in the generator's model menu. Draft on Fast at 480p and 720p, then switch to Seedance 2.0 for 1080p or 4K.

Wide landscapes and detail-rich shots that show off 1080p and 4K. Keep the motion simple so the resolution carries the shot.
Low drone shot skimming over black sand beach toward a smoking volcano at sunrise, waves rolling in, steam rising where lava meets the sea, camera slowly rising to reveal the full coastline. Sound: crashing waves, deep rumble, wind.
Camera rises through a misty rainforest canopy at dawn, sunbeams breaking through leaves, water dripping from giant ferns, a toucan lands on a branch in the foreground. Sound: birdsong, dripping water, insects.
A snowy alpine village at night, warm light glowing from wooden chalets, a horse-drawn sleigh passes through the square, camera tracking alongside at walking pace. Sound: sleigh bells, hooves on snow, distant church bell.
Upload a product photo as the first frame to keep it exact. Add an end frame in the AI Video workspace for a clean final pack shot.
A serum bottle stands on wet stone surrounded by fresh green leaves, a droplet falls from the pipette in slow motion and ripples across the surface, camera slowly orbits the bottle. Soft natural light. Sound: water drop, gentle ambient music.
Ingredients drop one by one onto a toasted bun in slow motion — patty, melting cheese, lettuce, tomato — and the top bun lands with a bounce, steam rising. Dark background, warm key light. Sound: sizzling, a satisfying thump.
A sleek smartphone rises out of darkness, rotating to show its metal edges and camera module, light reflections sweeping across the glass, ending face-on with the screen lighting up. Sound: low bass hum, a crisp click.
Ideas to test quickly and cheaply on Seedance 2.0 Fast at 480p or 720p. Rerun the best ones on Seedance 2.0 when you need higher resolution.
A detective in a trench coat walks down a rainy alley at night, stops under a flickering streetlight and lights a match. Static wide shot, film noir lighting. Sound: rain, a match striking.
A hand slams a stack of colorful sticky notes onto a desk, they burst into the air like confetti and spell the word "FOCUS" as they land. Top-down vertical shot. Sound: a thud, paper fluttering, a pop.
A lone sailboat drifts on a glassy lake at dusk, pink and purple sky reflected in the water, camera slowly pulls back to reveal pine-covered mountains. Calm and dreamy. Sound: soft water lapping, a loon call.
For Reference to Video mode with image, video and audio files. Both Seedance 2.0 and 2.0 Fast accept the same references.
Use the cartoon fox mascot from the reference images, keeping its orange fur, blue scarf and big eyes. It skateboards down a sunny boardwalk, does a small jump and waves at the camera. Sound: skateboard wheels, seagulls, a cheerful whistle.
The woman from the reference image performs the dance moves from the reference video on a rooftop at sunset, keeping her outfit and hairstyle. Camera follows the framing of the reference video. Sound: the music from the reference audio.
Show the running shoe from the reference images on a forest trail, dew on the grass, a runner's feet landing in slow motion. Use the voice from the reference audio as an energetic voiceover. Sound: footsteps, birds.
All three are in the same model menu on Visiojoy. Here's when each one fits.
